Lost and Found

wheelchair.jpgI was reading an article in the paper at the weekend regarding the things people leave behind in Travelodges (a specially adapted racing bicycle and a hollowed-out Bible containing £250 were among the more unusual) and was reminded of an item on the television a few months ago about the things in the Lost and Found department of London Transport. It makes the forgetful guests of the Travelodge chain seem quite mundane for amongst the most bizarre things left on buses and trains there were umpteen sets of false teeth, a life-size blow-up doll, prosthetic limbs and various babies’ buggies and wheelchairs. I have left my fair share of umbrellas on trains but I am stiil trying to fathom out how anyone can forget their wheelchair!
