Happy April Fools Day!

The internet seems to have brought a whole new meaning to April Fools Day. As predicted, there are many reputable sites which have today played a prank on loads of oblivious users. A few I’ve noticed so far are the online gadget shop I Want One of Those selling a RoboGirlfriend. This £500 toy is a dream for all men, being great at conversation and even cooking meals in her built-in microwave oven. It comes in different versions, e.g. a Britney robot with removable hair! As imagined, Google too have done a huge new prank offering free wireless broadband to all Google users. This system requires the use of a toilet to install their nifty gadgetry - all worth it though! The last one I saw was Mugglenet, biggest fan site of Harry Potter. Today they claim to have leaked a copy of the new Harry Potter book and reveal hilarious secrets such as the fact that Snape is half-goat. I wonder how many people fall for these pranks, and I’m amazed and amused at the effort these sites go to for April Fools fun.
