Bernie Krause and I were honored to be part of this rescue effort. As of this morning the mother and calf (now named 'Delta' and 'Dawn') are headed in the right direction and are travelling well. They have a long way to go, with many perils to face along the way, but we are all so very hopeful that they will find their way back to the Bay and toward their ocean home. For more information about soundscape and it's uses, please visit The WildBlog at www.wildsanctuary.com. We thank you all for following this story.

Good news - the whales are on their way back to the Pacific. They have many miles to travel and many obstacles to overcome but at least they are headed in the right direction and with a little help from humans will hopefully end up back on their correct migratory course.
